The design of the 91-P5 motor has undergone further development with the co-operation of experienced competition pilots, and the result is the new Competition version. Its special features are high power, high torque and smooth power delivery. The engine maintains stable speed at all throttle settings, runs reliably in all flight attitudes and is straightforward to handle even in extreme ambient temperatures and weather conditions.
The piston - cylinder assembly exploits the proven, competition-tested Webra AARsystem.
The Webra AAR piston-cylinder system consists of an ALUMINIUM cylinder liner withSpecial Coating and a ringed piston made of RSP piston alloy. This system is significantly longer-lasting than previous piston / cylinder arrangements as well as producing an increase in power. The AAR system provides a considerable improvement in heat transfer between the motor's combustion chamber and its external cooling surfaces. These improvements manifest themselves in more constant motor speed, especially when the motor is exposed, and increased motor power.
