Fuel pressure regulator for petrol engines

Petrol-powered model engines fitted with conventional non-pressurised carburettors require a regulated fuel supply. This pressure regulator ensures that an adequate supply of fuel reaches the carburettor for any throttle barrel setting. The basis of the system is that the fueltank is pressurised via a nipple fitted to the crankcase backplate; this ensures that fuel is always present at the pressure regulator at an adequate pressure level. The regulator then meters the fuel and passes it to the carburettor. The pressure regulator itself is connected to the silencer, whose pressure controls the regulatory action, and varies the quantity of fuel supplied to the carburettor according to the speed of the engine, i.e. it feeds less fuel when the carburettor is throttled back, and the maximum quantity when the carburettor is fully open. The regulator can be attached to one engine mounting lug using the bracket supplied. The Webra fuel regulator is petrol-proof and easy to maintain, but it is not suitable for methanol
